Welcome! to the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania Regional Buy Fresh Buy Local Page.

Great things are going on with local foods in the Northern Tier and we encourage you to check out our many farms and markets!  Buy Fresh Buy Local activities in the Northern Tier are coordinated by the Northern Tier Cultural Alliance, a Folk Arts Support center located in the refurbished Washington St. Station next to the Susquehanna River in Towanda.  With the generous help of dedicated volunteers, we work to promote local food and farming in 6 Northern Tier Counties:  Potter, Tioga, Bradford, Susquehanna, Sullivan and Wyoming.  For more information and/or to volunteer, click the "Contact Us" link above.

This chapter was formed in 2007 and has held a Buyer-Vendor day; run booth displays at local festivals and events; sponsored workshops for farmers market vendors, and held a kickoff event in Towanda that featured 5 chefs and 2 local bands.  We also offer support for various groups organizing markets, farm tours and other food related events.

Our latest Local Food Guide was printed in April 2011 and is available at various locations across the region as well as on our website.  We will be updating the guide and reprinting in 2013.  A form is available at our website to report information for the new guide. Please request to be included! You do not have to be a member to be included in the Local Food Guide. We also sell ads in the Guide - contact us for rates if you are interested.  This is a great way to reach folks interested in your products!

Membership forms, food guides and other information is available from the Buy Fresh Buy Local chapter page at the Northern Tier Cultural Alliance website: http://www.ntculturalalliance.org/northern-tier-buy-fresh-buy-local/
